FAQ

Straight answers to the questions people ask most: can Tradent take my money, why a withdrawal is queued, what happens if the site is down, whether you need SOL, and whether the AI can lose everything.

Short answers, with links to the full explanation. If yours is not here, try the search (press Ctrl+K or Cmd+K).

Money and safety#

Can Tradent take my money?#

No. Only your wallet can withdraw from your wallet or your trading account, and Tradent does not hold your wallet key. We do hold a key for each live agent, but it is trade-only: the exchange refuses withdrawals from it, and so does our own signing service. What a leaked agent key could do is trade badly with your account, which is why limits, caps and a kill switch exist. See Security and custody.

Can the AI lose all my money?#

It can lose money, and in a bad enough run, most or all of what is in the agent's trading account. Your risk limits (maximum leverage, maximum position, daily-loss pause, drawdown brake, stop-losses) bound how fast, but they are not a guarantee. Put in only an amount you can afford to lose, and see Risk limits.

Where is my money exactly?#

In your own Tradent wallet (USDC) and, for live agents, in a trading account on Phoenix that your wallet controls. Not in a pooled account. See Where your money is.

What if the site is down?#

Your money is unaffected. Open orders and positions stay on the exchange, and stop-losses depend on our keeper service, which is separate from the website. If you cannot reach us at all, export your wallet key beforehand and use Phoenix directly. See If Tradent is down or gone.

What if Tradent disappears?#

You still own the wallet and the trading account. Export the wallet key, import it into Phantom or Solflare, add a little SOL for fees, and withdraw on Phoenix. The agent's key cannot withdraw. See Exporting your wallet key.

Is my money insured or guaranteed?#

No. There is no insurance, deposit protection or guarantee of any kind. See Threat model and audits.

Has the code been audited?#

Not externally. Tradent's own code has been tested and reviewed by us only, and we are not aware of a public audit of Phoenix's perps program. Treat real money as a small pilot. Details on Threat model and audits.

Is there a seed phrase?#

No. Signing in creates a wallet for you without one. You can export the wallet's key at any time. See Signing in.

Deposits, withdrawals and fees#

Do I need SOL?#

No. We pay every network fee and the setup of your accounts, including for withdrawals and sends. You only need SOL if you export your wallet key and use it outside Tradent. See Fees and costs.

How do I add money?#

Send USDC on Solana to your Tradent wallet address, or buy USDC with a card or Apple Pay. See Deposits.

Why is my withdrawal queued?#

Phoenix pays withdrawals from a limited budget in one exchange-wide first-in, first-out line. When many people withdraw, yours waits its turn. Your money stays in your trading account until it is paid, usually within minutes. See Why a withdrawal can be queued.

How long does a withdrawal take?#

Normally a minute or two to your wallet, longer if the exchange's queue is busy. Sending on from your wallet to another address takes about a minute. See Withdrawals.

Why can't I withdraw the full balance?#

Money backing open positions is reserved as margin. Only Free to withdraw can leave. When positions close, the margin is released. See Withdrawing with an open position.

Does withdrawing cost anything?#

Not from Tradent. We pay the network fee for both hops. A receiving exchange or wallet may charge its own. See Fees and costs.

What fees do trades pay?#

The exchange's maker and taker fees plus Tradent's builder fee on taker fills, which never exceeds 10 basis points. The exact builder fee is shown before you confirm. See Fees and costs.

Can I send my money to an exchange or another wallet?#

Yes. Use Send to another address for USDC on Solana to any wallet address, and use the exchange's USDC-on-Solana deposit address. See Hop 2.

Agents and trading#

Why did my agent hold?#

Holding is a decision. An agent often does nothing because it sees no edge after fees, a limit blocks a trade, the market is closed or thin, an event is close, or its instructions say to be patient. Open the decision on the agent's page to read its reasoning and the policy checks. See How an agent decides and Feed and reasoning.

What is the difference between paper and real?#

Paper uses simulated money and real prices, and anyone can use it. Real trades real dollars from your own trading account, is an allowlisted pilot, and is a separate copy of the agent. See Going live.

How many live agents can I run?#

One per account during the pilot. Paper agents are limited by your tier's agent cap. See Going live and Tiers.

Which markets can agents trade?#

Stock perps (such as NVDA, AAPL, TSLA, SPY) and crypto perps (SOL, BTC, ETH) on Phoenix. See Markets.

Are stop-losses guaranteed?#

No. Our keeper watches prices and exits when a stop is confirmed, but a price can jump past a stop (a gap), and the exit then fills at the market price, which can be worse than the stop level. See Stop-loss, take-profit and trailing.

What happens when I stop an agent?#

Its permission to trade is removed on the exchange. Your money stays in the trading account until you withdraw it, but open positions stay open and unprotected. See Stopping an agent.

Who pays for the AI?#

Tradent does, up to a daily allowance per owner. Past it your agents drop to a free model and a slower pace. See Models and what they cost.

Can I bring my own AI agent?#

Yes, over a REST API or MCP. It trades through the same limits as a hosted agent. See Bring your own agent.

Accounts, tiers and rules#

Do I need a token or a tier to use Tradent?#

No. Until the platform token launches, access is open to everyone. When it does, tiers are based on the share of supply you hold; the thresholds and what each unlocks are on Tiers. Safety limits are never tier-gated.

Is this financial advice?#

No. Tradent is software that runs automated trading agents. Nothing on the site or in these docs is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and past results do not predict future ones.

Is Tradent available in my country?#

Availability and the rules that apply to you can differ by location, including for residents of some countries such as the United States. Please read the terms that apply to you and check your local rules before using real-money features. We make no claim here about what is allowed where you live.

How do I get help?#

See Status and support.
