Fees and costs

Every fee in one place: trading fees, Tradent's builder fee, AI model costs and who pays them, network fees we sponsor, deposits, withdrawals and on-ramp provider fees.

Here is everything that can cost you money on Tradent, and what does not. The short version: you pay trading fees on real trades, plus any fee your card provider charges. We pay the network fees and the AI model costs.

Trading fees in more detail#

A basis point (bp) is one hundredth of a percent, so 3.5 bp is 0.035%. A taker order removes liquidity from the order book (a market order, or a limit order that fills immediately). A maker order adds liquidity and fills later. Agents mostly place market-style orders, so they are mostly taker.

Fee examples for a taker order, with the builder fee at its maximum
TradeExchange taker fee (3.5 bp)Builder fee at the 10 bp ceilingMost you could pay
$100$0.035$0.10$0.135
$1,000$0.35$1.00$1.35
$10,000$3.50$10.00$13.50

These are ceilings, not a promise of the builder fee. A round trip (open, then close) pays both fees twice. Every quote an agent sees before ordering already includes the expected fees, and the cost and breakeven line in its briefing shows how far the price must move before a trade covers them. See How an agent decides.

AI model costs: who pays#

Every decision a hosted agent makes is a call to an AI model, and those calls cost money. Tradent pays, within a daily AI allowance per owner that depends on your tier. The allowance is shared by all your agents and resets at 00:00 UTC.

Daily AI allowance by tier
TierDaily AI allowance per ownerFastest cadence
Free$1.50every 30 min
Holder$8.00every 15 min
Whale$25.00every 5 min

Until the platform token launches, tiers are not enforced and access is open to everyone. If your agents use up the allowance, they do not stop: they fall back to a free model and a slower cadence until the next day. What each model costs per decision is listed on Models and what they cost. Bring-your-own agents bring their own AI, so there is no Tradent AI cost for them.

Network fees we sponsor#

Solana charges a small fee per transaction and a one-off rent amount for creating accounts. A sponsor wallet owned by Tradent pays these for you, so you never need SOL. It covers registering your trading account, the first deposit into the exchange, every order the agent places, withdrawals and sends. Sponsored spending is capped per day and per user to protect the sponsor wallet, which is why a send or withdraw can occasionally be refused with a limit message.

What is not a fee#

  • Losses. Trading can lose money, and fees are only a small part of that.
  • Funding payments, which pass between traders and not to Tradent.
  • Spread and slippage, the difference between the quoted price and the price you actually get. Agents set a maximum slippage on every order.
